At Thrive, Faith is much more than a statement of beliefs, it is a way of life. Each day we are reminded that Thrive started as a passion inspired by God and that it has been His hand that has held us together and blessed us each step of the journey.
We strive to live out the faith that He planted in us and to share that faith with others by the way we live.
Statement of Faith
We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It is our final authority in matters of doctrine and practice. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and that they are three distinct persons with distinct roles; but one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:16-17)
We believe that God is over all of creation. He made man in His own image. We believe that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. (Genesis 1:27, Psalm 139:14)
We believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God, who was born through the Virgin Mary and lived a sinless life. (Isaiah 7:14; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory. We believe that our sin separates us from God. The wages for our sin is death and eternal separation from God. (Romans 3:23, 6:23)
We believe that redemption for our sin only comes through Jesus Christ, who, being sinless, took on the sins of the world, died on a cross and was raised from the grave to take away our sin and to bring us into a right relationship with a loving and Holy God. (John 3:16; 1 Peter 3:18)
We believe that it is our calling to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18)
We believe that God has called us to share the Good News of the gospel with the children, families and community that Thrive represents. (Acts 1:8)
